In times of isolation, either real or perceived, what a healing balm for the spirit yoga is! What a gift for ourselves and those around us who can’t help but be uplifted in our magnetic field. The radiance that comes from knowing we belong, to ourselves and this beautiful universe, is truly a medicine for anyone feeling lost or alone.

What Is Kundalini Yoga?

Yoga embodies a relationship—an integration that unites individual consciousness with Universal Consciousness.

The body serves as our physical vessel, requiring regular cleansing, care, and tuning for a balanced experience. A well-maintained physical body influences our overall well-being. Meanwhile, the mind acts as our guide, steering actions and emotions. Without a clear mental roadmap or flexibility in perceptions, one might struggle to find direction, hindering the pursuit of a content life.

Engaging with the spirit, connecting with the source that brought us here, forms an essential part of this journey. Establishing a connection with the inherent infinity within us grounds our origins.

Kundalini Yoga stands as a technological science, precisely utilizing mental, physical, and nervous energies, empowering individuals to channel these under the control of their will. It serves as a potent, dynamic tool designed to expand the mind's capacity, fostering equilibrium to command one's vessel and experience the Infinite Self.

This practice amalgamates breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to harmonize the glandular system, fortify the nervous system, enhance lung capacity, and purify the blood, fostering equilibrium in body, mind, and soul.

Yet, paramount is the personal experience. Knowledge transforms into wisdom only when felt with the heart. No amount of words can substitute personal experiences. A teacher imparts knowledge and technique, but wisdom is attained through personal practice and discipline. Kundalini Yoga enables the experience of dormant excellence, awaiting awakening.

It stands as the swiftest means of transformation among the 22 primary forms of yoga. Kundalini, a royal or Raj yoga, resembling a multifaceted diamond—incorporating Laya for sound, Jappa as technology, Shakti for power, Bhakti for devotion, Raja for royal philosophy, and Hatha for mastering polarity.

This practice taps into pranic energy—breath, body, and mind—awakening the kundalini energy, representing creative potential, expanding consciousness. It remains a path for anyone seeking skills to navigate the challenges of our era.

Traditionally, the technology of Kundalini Yoga was restricted to certain classes or groups. In 1969, Yogi Bhajan brought this knowledge to the West, advocating its open teaching to prepare humanity for the significant changes accompanying our shift from the Piscean to the Aquarian Age. The Earth's transition from the Pisces to Aquarius constellation occurred around 11/11/11.

The Piscean age centered on hierarchy and power, people seeking beliefs to hold onto. The Aquarian age prioritizes information, awareness, and energy.

Kundalini Yoga equips us with the awareness and strength to navigate this transition smoothly, broadening our vision and sensitivity for more effective action.

In an age plagued by psychological ailments like depression, anxiety, and fatigue, Kundalini Yoga provides tools for a healthy, happy, and spiritually grounded life. It offers internal education to consciously guide brain functions, states of consciousness, through intuition, wisdom, and balance of the mind.

Practicing Kundalini Yoga prompts growth, akin to a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly.. It prompts self-reflection, encouraging the examination and replacement of habits, attitudes, and emotional patterns that support expanded awareness, liberating from constraints and irrational fears. Ultimately, it fosters self-mastery, guiding individuals toward their best selves.

The Building Blocks of Kundalini Yoga

In Kundalini Yoga, each kriya is constructed upon seven fundamental building blocks. While these core elements are present in various yogic practices, here we’ll delve into their distinct significance within the framework of Kundalini Yoga.
